This filly has "cutting"
written all over her pedigree. Paddys Irish Whiskey, Doc's Hickory, Quichina
Bar - these are names known in the industry.
Her 2009 full sister, also
a dark colored buckskin, is a keeper - she will stay at the ranch and become
a saddle horse before she will join the broodmare band to carry on these
great bloodlines.
This filly is located at
a ranch south of Rapid City, SD.

These pictures of
her are from March 2011, she is a short yearling (born late June). This
is the least flattering time of the year for a horse, and especially buckskins
tend to look like dirty rugs during early spring. She sure is an example
for an "ugly duck" but by looking at her weanling picture we know that
she is a very well refined filly. She is short backed, straight legs, bright
eyes and all business. She will not be a tall horse, just the right size
to go down on her hocks and work a cow.
